Nearest Town : Ipoh (30KM away from Ulu Kinta Dam) Hospital, Fire & Rescue, Hotels, Restaurants & Commercial Centres

Final Preparation Area : Ulu Kinta, SUltan Azlan Shah Dam entrance

Route (CROSSOVER) : Dam – 4WD off-road ride – Sg.Senoi~oi – Camp Pangkin – Camp View – Last Water Point – Bonsai Tonggek – Korbu – Gayong – Korbu – Mt.Chuban – 7E – Camp Kijang – Camp Seroja – Sg. Termin Waterfall – 4WD Stop - Dam

Trail Length : 25.8KM total (give or take 300m)

Ascent : 400m – 2181m

Terrain : 4WD off-road ride, Multiple River Crossing, Multiple uphill & downhill, dry to muddy trails root clambering and one difficult vertical climb

Campsites with H20 : Camp Pangkin, Camp View, Last Water Point, 7E, Camp Kijang & Camp Seroja

Last Water Point : Mini waterfall after Camp View, 7E

Scenic Rating : 8/10 (10/10 being awesome)

Cellular Network : Poor to Medium Coverage at the summit for CELCOM,MAXIS & DIGI

Difficulty + Duration : 7/10 @ 4D/3N & 8/10 @ 3D/3N (1 being easy and 10 being very difficult)

EXPEDITION FLOW SUMMARY:

DAY 0

2100hrs – Meet up point will be Lafuma Pro Shop, Bangsar (Please have dinner before we meet)

- Convoy to Sultan Azlan Shah Dam, Ulu Kinta Perak

- Overnight camping at the Dam area

DAY 1

0800hrs – Breakfast & Final Packing

– 4WD Ride to trail head

– Start Ascent

- Lunch break for 30 minutes

1900hrs – Sweeper expected to reach Camp View

2000hrs – Dinner

DAY 2

0800hrs – Breakfast & Break Camp

0900hrs – Start Summit attempt

- Lunch break for 30 minutes

1900hrs – Sweeper expected to reach KORBU summit

2000hrs – Dinner

DAY 3

0630hrs – Sunrise, Pictures & Stuff

0800hrs – Breakfast & Break Camp

0830hrs – Day Pack from Mt.Korbu Summit to Mt. Gayong Summit (RETURN)

– Start Descent

- Lunch break for 30 minutes

1900hrs – Sweeper expected to reach Camp Seroja

2000hrs – Dinner

DAY 4

0800hrs – Breakfast & Break Camp

- Start descent

- 30 min stop at the waterfall

- Lunch break for 30 minutes

1400hrs – Sweeper expected to reach trail exit

– Transfer on 4WD to Ulu Kinta Dam

- Convoy back to Kuala Lumpur

- 30 min stop for RnR

- Kuala Lumpur safe and sound

FEE STRUCTURE:

BASIC – RM220 per person (Compulsory)

(Includes Professional Guide(s), Permit, Police Reports, Permission, 4WD Transfers, Internal & External Radio Communication & Group Advanced First Aid Kit)

CATERING SERVICE – RM110 per person (Optional)

(Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Trail Food & 24 Hour Emergency Ration, also the Chef)

EQUIPMENT RENTAL – RM60 per person (Optional)

(Includes Tent on triple sharing basis & group communal equipment)

GROUP OR PERSONAL PORTER – RM150 per porter per day (Optional)

(Maximum of 15Kg load per porter, extra’s chargeable at RM12 per Kg)
