LMAG trips for October 2008
In the month of October 2008, we will make a revisit to Bukit Tabur but now using the East trail. We will also be heading to Bukit Kutu at Kuala Kubu Baru to visit the historical trail during the colonial era. As informed last month, we shall also be doing caving at Dark Caves, Batu Caves. Below the details of the trips we will set our foot on this month.
Bukit Tabur (East trail to Quartz Ridge)
Taman Melawati, KL
Date : 18 October 2008 (Saturday)
Time : 7.30am - 12.00pm
Meeting point : Lafuma Bangsar
Fee : FOC (for LMAG members)
RM5 (for non-LMAG members)
Difficulties : Medium (Hike with minimal rock climb)
Things to bring : Daypack, trekking attire, extra clothes for change, rain jacket / poncho, trekking shoes, cap/hat, trekking poles, leech socks, water, snacks.
Transportation : Car pooling

* Note : Please bring along your LMAG membership card if you have one. Breakfast and lunch will not be provided. The organiser will not be responsible for any mishap that may occur during the hike, Participants register and climb on own risks.

0800 hrs : Briefing & Registration
0830 hrs : Start trekking
1200 hrs : Expect to arrive at car park. Dismiss.

Bukit Kutu (Updated on 8.10.08)
Kuala Kubu Baru
Date : 19 October 2008 (Sunday)
Time : 6am to 6.30pm
Meeting point : Rawang Plus Toll exit
Fee : RM80 per pax (Advance payment on booking) [Fee for guide, insurance, light lunch, snacks and refreshment]
Difficulties : Medium
Things to bring : Daypack, trekking attire, extra clothes for change, rain jacket / poncho, trekking shoes, cap/hat, trekking poles, leech socks, mosquito repellent, water, food, snacks.
Transportation : Own cost (if need transportation, we can try to arrange on car pool basis but must inform us earlier)

* Note : Breakfast and heavy lunch will not be provided. Only light lunch and snack with some refreshment will be given.

0615 - Meeting at Rawang toll exit NKVE and moving to KKB.
0700 - Expected to arrive at KKB and have quick breakfast at own cost with some pre briefing and ice-breaking session.
0800 - Arrive at Buloh Telor and start trekking and climbing.
1200 - Expected to summit of Kutu Hill, rest and relax (free and easy) with photo shooting at the old colonial bungalows.
1430 - Start decending to Buloh Telor
1730 - Arrive at KKB town for light refreshment and clean up.
1830 - Dismiss and leave KKB town.

Caving at Dark Caves
Batu Caves, Selangor
Date : 26 October 2008 (Sunday)
Time : 8.00 am - 12.30pm
Meeting point : Lafuma Bangsar
Fee : RM80 per pax
Things to bring : Long sleeve tops, long pants, extra clothing for change, socks (preferable waterproof socks), dry bag, towel, toiletries set.
Transportation : Own (if need transportation, we can try to arrange on car pool basis)
